HELENA DEVELOPMENT ROUNDTABLE
The Helena Development Roundtable (HDR) is a very successful informal Helena-area network of executive directors, development directors, fundraising staff and nonprofit board members that meets monthly. HDR provides important opportunities for collegial networking and relationship building. HDR participants pick fundraising topics such as monthly giving programs, on-line fundraising, donor management software, etc., and share knowledge and resources. Sometimes we vary the program approach, and have one or more presenters give a more in-depth presentation on a topic, but with time reserved for questions and discussion.
For staff who are new to Helena or new to their position, HDR provides ready access to a talented and supportive peer network. HDR is a component of Big Sky Institute for the Advancement of Nonprofits’ Helena Development Initiative that provides a replicable approach for community-based professional development in fundraising skills and knowledge.
Over 160 professionals and volunteers from nonprofit organizations and consulting firms are invited to participate in each session, with typically 25-40 people attending.

When and Where are the Meetings Held?
HDR meets on the second Tuesday of each month, except for June through August, from noon to 1pm.
Meetings are currently conducted via Zoom.
HDR participants are welcome to disseminate information about their organizations, programs, services, upcoming events (including fundraisers), job announcements, etc., by putting informational materials on the handouts table.
