November 5, 2019 - HCCP Tickets Are Now on Sale!

This year Big Sky Institute for the Advancement of Nonprofits (BSI) will be holding Helena’s fourth annual sector-wide event to celebrate the importance of community philanthropy. Planned for Tuesday, November 5, 2019, in conjunction with National Philanthropy Day sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Helena Celebrates Community Philanthropy (HCCP) will recognize those who do the giving, and those who do the fundraising. HCCP is Helena’s biggest Philanthropy event of the year.

The Helena nonprofit community values all kinds of philanthropy in its many shapes and sizes, including the volunteering of time and talent for the work we do.  That said, many in this sector have developed a deep appreciation for philanthropic individuals and entities whose generosity broadly embraces the diversity of our local nonprofit community. Why is this important? Because it is the philanthropic cornerstone for inclusive community building.

The program will feature awards to recognize and celebrate philanthropic accomplishments, and honor great role models who exemplify the very best qualities of community philanthropists. We will highlight awardees in the individual donor, business and corporate, and foundation categories.  This year’s awardees are:

  • Individual – Beverly Gibson, nominated by The Myrna Loy.
  • Business/Corporate – First Interstate Bank, nominated by Rocky Mountain Development Council.
  • Foundation – The Wall Family Power Townsend Foundation, nominated by Helena Area Habitat for Humanity.

HCCP activities will take place at Delta Hotels Helena Colonial (formerly the Radisson), beginning with a welcoming reception followed by dinner with the awards program. The reception begins at 5:30 pm with a cash bar, non-alcoholic beverages, and hors d’oeuvres; the dinner and awards  program start at 6:30 pm. Attendees will be served a plated dinner and dessert.

HCCP is the signature fundraising event for BSI’s Helena programs. Sponsorships, ticket sales and other giving opportunities generate funds to help underwrite the professional training and development opportunities on fundraising skills BSI provides to Helena area nonprofits through its Helena Development Initiative (HDI). The various HDI program components and BSI’s other Helena programs benefit well over 100 Helena-based nonprofits annually.
